FAQs

How do I get started?

All you need to do is contact me for a consultation or to enquire about training sessions.

Do you train men and women?

Currently I only train women in 1-2-1 and small group training sessions.

How much does it cost?

Please see the Services section on the website for prices.  1-2-1s are £45 per hour with discounts for block bookings.  Classes are held weekly for 6 weeks for £90. They work well alongside 1-2-1s or can be booked separately to support your other fitness activities.

Do you offer free trials of your group classes?

Whilst I’m unable to offer free trials, if you’d like to try the class out and you have a group of 3-4, then I can offer the group a one-off class for £15 each so that you can decide if the 6 week block classes are right for you.

Do you rent your gym space?

The gym is only available for the booking of personal training sessions and the group classes.

What format are your small group training classes?

The small group training classes vary based on the fitness level, goals and health conditions of the individuals.  Some focus purely on strength training, whilst others mix in cardio training and plyometric exercises.  Sometimes we work as pairs focusing on performing sets of each exercise whilst other groups prefer a circuit format with timed exercise stations.  This is the beauty of this class.  I can shape it to suit the needs of the group.

I’m a beginner will this be suitable for me?

Yes absolutely. I’m really keen to help people who are new to the gym and teach them how to do it.  I would recommend having a 1-2-1 training session before starting a group class, so that we have more time to assess your needs and what’s right for you.

Have you got parking?

Yes, there is onsite parking next to the gym with stair free access.

How long does it take to see results?

Within two months you’ll feel the difference and then from three months you’ll see the difference. Whilst I can support you and guide you with what to do, it will be up to you to be consistent with diet and exercise outside of our 1-2-1 sessions to get the most benefit.

How often will I need to train?

Call for a consultation and we can chat about your training needs.  It entirely depends on your goals, age, health conditions, injuries and availability to train.

Do you track diet as well as exercise?

As part of my personal training, I can advise on nutrition to help you build muscle, reach your target weight and keep your energy levels high.  The right diet goes hand in hand with your exercise programme to get the best results.

Do you offer mobile training?

Unfortunately I’m unable to offer mobile training.  All sessions take place at my private gym in Bath.

What is your cancellation policy?

Rescheduling or cancelling of a session must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. The reason for this is that I reserve this time for you and with short notice I’m not able to refill that slot.

What happens if I can’t make one of the classes in the 6 week block booking?

The 6  week block booking classes take place at the start of each school term and are held consecutively over the first 6 weeks.   Dates will be released at the end of each term and agreed with the group. Unfortunately I’m not able to reschedule classes and I do recommend you try to make every one of them, to get consistency in your training.

How do I pay?

Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash at the time of booking, in advance of the first session taking place.

What should I wear and bring?

Please wear comfortable clothing that you are able to move freely in.  Please also remember to bring indoor gym trainers that you can change into, once you arrive at the gym.  We use the floor for lots of exercises and this is a ‘dirt-free’ zone. Also remember to bring a water bottle and a hand towel if needed.
