About

Hi I’m Sarah.  I offer 1-2-1 personal training, exercise referral and small group training classes.  If we exercise and build strength, we can live longer and healthier lives. I want to help women take back control of their fitness and feel their best.

Everyone has a different fitness journey so I create personalised programmes that fit your goals and lifestyle.   I want to help women get strong bodies, improve their fitness and build consistency so that working out becomes second nature.

I’ll help you learn how to have the best form, so that you can progress and stay injury free. I also like to follow progressive overload plans, where we increase weight and use a variety of exercises and equipment, so that you’re constantly challenged and seeing improvements.

Enjoying fitness every day is so important and not all of this will take place in the gym.  Whether you play other sports, enjoy walks or fitness classes, I can work with you to get the right combination of exercise in your schedule to improve your long-term health.

The name Leucine comes from my middle name. My Dad was a scientist and decided to name me after an amino acid. Leucine’s job in the body is to synthesis protein and increase muscle growth. So maybe I was made for the job?!

My Background

Fitness has always been a big part of my life. In my 20’s I was a long distance runner, running half marathons and marathons. My main sport is tennis and I still enjoy competing today.

Throughout my career I worked in Sports Public Relations, promoting athletes and international events. It was always an inspiration for me to be surrounded by focused and resilient sports men and women, and to follow their impressive training journeys.

I married Russell in 2003 and we proudly raised two sets of twins (a fitness challenge in itself!).  We moved from London to Chicago to Bath and continue to enjoy this great city.

As my twins have grown, I decided it was time for a career change where I could continue my passion for sport and exercise.  In 2023, I retrained as a fitness professional, gaining my Level 3 diploma in Personal Training.  Then in 2024 I qualified in Exercise Referral, enabling me to work with people with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, osteoporosis and arthritis.

I also have a special interest in peri-menopausal and menopausal women as I know how exercise can positively impact symptoms at this life stage.

  • Sarah is so supportive, she makes me feel at ease and has given me the confidence to weight train. Wish I had started sooner.

    Kate

  • I started group training with some friends eight months ago. It’s really complimenting my running and something I’m definitely sticking with. Sarah’s also been brilliant at keeping it interesting and teaching me new exercises that I’ve never done before.

    Esther

  • Sarah’s really helped me to get a routine going that I never get bored of. In the first three months I lost weight and started having so much more energy. I also no longer have knee pain. Its been a great way to kickstart my fitness.
